Plant physiology is the study of the function, or physiology of plants. Fundamental processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration, and floral induction are studied in plant physiology.

Crop physiology is the study of the plant processes responsible for the growth, development, and production of economic yield by crop plants. Crop physiologists focus on whole plants and plant communities – not individual plant parts, organs, or cells because most of the processes that control yield operate at the whole plant – plant community level.

This book focuses on cellular and molecular aspects of plant and crop physiology, plant and crop physiological responses to heavy metal concentration and agrichemicals, computer modeling in plant physiology, and more. The book provides them with accurate, modern and streamlined content. It includes even more modern applications and color within key images and illustrations to make the material easier to understand.
