Automatic control is the application of control theory for regulation of processes without direct human intervention. In the simplest type of an automatic control loop, a controller compares a measured value of a process with a desired set value, and processes the resulting error signal to change some input to the process, in such a way that the process stays at its set point despite disturbances. This closed-loop control is an application of negative feedback to a system.
The book, Automation Control Systems, prepares carefully, the background of each topic. Detail explanations of each step given make it easy for the students to understand the complicated derivations. Most of the theoretical topic are supported with practical illustrations.
It covers emerging technologies in a timely manner for two important subjects automatic control systems. In particular, it allows researchers and students to become familiar with state-of-the-art developments in the field, and it also helps engineers and practitioners enhance their productivity with the latest technology.
